President and CEO, Ojo Technology
As founder and CEO of Ojo Technology and its sister company, Network Designs Integration Services, Angie Wong has a track record of running successful, low-turnover, community-based businesses since 1994. Ms. Wong is known for her strong commitment to quality, responsiveness and the long-term satisfaction of her customers.
Born in Hong Kong, Ms. Wong completed high school and university in Canada and then received her MBA from San Jose State University. She started Network Designs in 1994 and, nine years later, spun off Ojo Technology.
The mother of twin boys, Ms. Wong is a sought-after industry and motivational speaker, having given talks at CISCO’s annual sales meeting, the Global Technology Summit, and at Business Outreach 2014, a strategic conference for small and disadvantaged businesses that was hosted by Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority in San Jose.
She has also given talks on behalf of the Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART) on how small, women-owned and minority businesses can compete for major transportation projects through certification programs designed to encourage inclusionary policies among general contractors.
In 2013, Ms. Wong was among a select group of honorees for recognition by the San Francisco Business Times as one of the Most Influential Women of the Bay Area. She was in the company of female executives from the banking, healthcare, real estate and technology industries. She and Ojo Technology have been profiled in the Times as well as in its sister publication, Silicon Valley Business Journal.
Another honor came from the U.S. Pan-Asian American Chamber of Commerce, which invited Ms. Wong to Washington, D.C. in 2012 to receive a Fast 50 Asian American Business Award. These awards are made by the organization each year at its Celebrasian Conference to recognize 50 of the fastest growing Asian American-owned companies in the U.S. The honorees are considered role models for other entrepreneurs.
Ojo Technology has continued expanding under Ms. Wong’s vision to include the complete range of physical security integration services, from offices in San Francisco, Fremont and Stockton.
